Have you been living under a rock?! Weinen is now on a factory-built LTR450 riding out of the MSR/Pro Taper RockStar Suzuki semi.

But, Weinen himself has said he tends to "over ride" his quads ...

i think most everyone is pulling for him, if he can keep his bikes together, he's going to have a championship in his future for sure, him and josh creamer are the 2 guys im really pulling for this season:cool:

Does he know how to ride his quads?? Or does he just dog the heck out of them that they cant take it? Whats up with all this mechanical failures in his races, maybe its just bad luck.

did you just ask does he know how to ride his quad? wow, thats gotta be the most intelligent post of the century, the guy turning the fastest laptimes at the first 3 nationals is questioned if he can even ride an atv... good post buddy, good post

I wonder what it was he broke, because he was still on the lead lap. It had to be something minor, but just enough to slow him down. It's not like it was something major like when he was busting cases. Look at his qualifiers going 2-1....It's a fluke, besides whatever it is (major or minor) he doesn't have to worry about it.

I'm really pulling for Chad, Josh Upperman, Dunk, Brown and the other young guns that are stepping up to the Big Show.

Go Chad!

You can read all about it under the ATVA racing section of this website...even some posts from his mechanic...

the short of it is Chad is overstressing the frame and broke the engine case...this is not the first time apparently.

the riders are getting faster and faster and getting ahead of the quad. It is starting to get like drag racing where part of the game is just keeping the engine together. It really sucks when you travel a long distance to watch drag races just to have your favorite team's engine go 1 second after the start. It sucks for the driver too. You want to win but at the same time you have choose how hard you are going to get on it.

Racing quads is going to become a bit of an endurance race for the season title...do you want to win each race or do you want to finish each race to collect the points for the season championship? The engine builders are all trying like crazy for the holeshot so the engine and frames are not going to hold together like years past.

quad2xtreme - those problems he had in the GNCs were when Chad was on his practice quads prior to Suzuki picking him up.
His practice quads, now think about that..... Those frames that were flexing were probably just so fatigued from being ridden hard. I don't think he would have had that problem on his new Honda rides, but we will never find out.....

Why are some of you guys hating Suzuki? I didn't really hear much about Honda offering a full ride? Regardless of brand, Chad or any of the top pros could ride the wheels off either brand.....

Remeber Jones in the ATVA's before his injury.....

I think that Chad will end up like Jones near the end of the season only minus the injury

Chad is an amazing rider and there is no doubt in my mind he would have won, had his motor not shut off. Does anyone know more detail as to why it shut off, then he was able to get it restarted? Sounds almost like something with the ignition:ermm:
