View Full Version : 250r aarms on a 400ex

Just wat the topic says. Do they fit how much wider does it make it is it worth the trouble. How hard are they to put on.
Just the general quesions about how to jerry rig somthing.

I think there like 1 inch wider on each side.

250R a-arms (stock) add NO width. The up-side to them is that they are considerably stronger than stock 400ex arms.

My neighbor has some aftermarket like +2 a-arms on his 400ex that were on a 450r and they fit fine, except there were grease nipples on the bushings and when the a-arms got bottomed out the were knocked off by the frame. I don't remember the brand of the arms but it was good.

450R arms will not work a a 400ex, differnt bolt up width.

250r will work i think. there is no real plus if you are using stock ones, but sometimes you can pick up aftermarket ones for the R cheaper than ones for the EX.
