View Full Version : Oil over flowing when remove dipstick
Hey how come when i remove my dipstick the oil overflows out. No its not because i put to much in either. Im thinking the rings are gone causing blow back but i just want ur imput.

How much oil do you put in it? Because it might be possible that you're actually putting too much without realizing it.
I put 1 and alittle more than 1/4 bottles in

Thats pretty good. (ur talking quarts not gallons rite) Considering You emptied it before you put more in it does sound something like blown rings. Do you have a bore kit in it.
Also check the air box is there any in there. It could be presurizing the oil system and making it back up.
for some reason its not doing it anymore, thanks anyways

Same thing happened to me last month. If it happens again change the oil filter.

I put a little more than 2 quarts in and it is still below the full line on the dipstick. I've ran it like this since I bought it and it always takes two and a little more quarts.

An oil change with filter should run you 1.95qts. I alwasy just put 2 quarts in. Usually you have to put in 1 and then half to 3/4 of the second, then start it up and let it cycle through a little, then put the rest of the second quart in.
