whats is the differance between single rate and dual rate how much better r dual rate?

single rate has one spring and dual rate has two springs. the difference is the dual rate will be plusher with less bottoming (the long spring is softer and the short one is harder). get the dual rate ;)

a dual rate has two springs one is softer and the other is harder its supposed to soften up the ride and i love my duals but they make quad rates which is 4 springs

ive heard it both ways sum people think more springs the companys just makin it up because of lack of internal valving sum people think more springs better ride i honestly am not sure wat to believe but i know my suals are great

the purpose of a dual rate spring setup is to lower the quad. I had dual rate elkas on my 300 and i loved them. It made my quad squat and thats excatly what i wanted them to do. Quad rates are for the lack on internal valving. I have talked to derisi and he believes that when valved properly, dual rate is the only thing neccasary, because all the point of the extra springs is to lower the quad.
