Freer Flowing??

I have a high compression 400ex with some other mods but not an exhaust system. i was wondering if taking the end cap/baffle out of the silencer might create less back pressure and give me more power. but i know that a stock motor actually loses power doing this but considering the 12.5:1 compression and added need to breathe, will it help until i can afford an exhaust system?

i always thought that the lose of backpressure decreases horsepower i could be wrong though

OH I see, so unless i drill out that plate like you did it wont help. only the sound will change which isnt what i really care about.

Yes, it will help, but it will be BARELY noticable.
