You can push the cable back in and it should be fine. Some guys just remove it completely and just plug the hole on the throttlebody. Cernics Racing makes a relocator for that so it's up on/by the clutch perch, but its $70. I think that includes the clutch perch and lever also. They are waiting for the new cables to come in for them so they are on back order as of now.

I have never removed it myself but if you're sure you want to do it....here goes. Trace the cable to the throttle body (it should be on the left side sitting on the quad) and remove it by screwing out the fastener nut on the end of the elbow (Should be a size 12mm). Take the slug (looks just like a choke slug), remove it from the cable. To remove it from the cable just slide/pull the spring back and slide the cable to either side of the slug and it should come of. Then stick it (the slug) back in and fill it with silicone.......I think thats how they do it......

I removed mine. It's easier to do if you remove the front plastic. When you put the "slug" back in the throttle body make sure you put the spring back in too. This holds it clear in so it won't idle fast.

Man this is frustrating.

I can't post a link to a fix for your problem because some BS about linking to other sites.

Go to www.r450hq.com and do a search for the following term and you will find the perfect solution to your problem.

Here is what you need to search for when you get there:

This is how we do all of our LTR's.

Make sure when you pull it out you put the spring back in. Its can be a pain to do but it wont idle right without the spring in. Other than that just pull the cable off and fill in the hole on the throttle body with silicone and all done !
