ok i would like to know what is the best front sprocket.
i want one that gives it more speed but dosnt drownd out the bottom end.
i still want to be able to get holeshott but i want a little more speed
can any body help me ? please respond:confused:
on a stock motor I liked a 14, but you lose some top speed... I used to run it in the tight trails / nast hillclimb type stuff _but_ if we were headed for wide open areas I would slap the 15 on..
a lot of guys run a 16 w/ modded motors, but I don't know how well a stocker would pull it..
changing the gearing is always a compromise.. the more you gear it up for top speed, the more you lose acceleration (unless you mod the motor)..
the good news is you can pick up a cheapo sporcket for $10 and try it.. if you don't like it your not out a whole lot of money.

try 15-36. Its not as bog of a jump as going to a 16 tooth. Also try a 15-37 if they even make it. good luck.
