when i let off of the gas, when the engine gets down alitle higher than idleing RPM, it makes a sucking sound for about 1 second. anyone know what this is? ... i'm thinkin it may be somethin with the head gasket.

Sounds like there's a leak in your base gasket.. maybe head gasket.. probably didn't seal right or it blew. Start it and see if you can feel air coming out or sucking in around the gaskets..

try spraying some wd40 or something similar around the base and head gaskets. if it idles up or changes idle, then your problem is one of the gaskets because it will suck in what you sprayed on it and make it rev. hope this helps, Corey

I'd say do a leak down test and check it all out first, then go from there, could be between the carb and cylinder too.
