454 into a chevy k1500 series pickup will it work

my buddies got a 1500 series pickup 93 and right now it has 305 in it he found a 454 big block we want to know the big question WILL IT FIT im pretty good mechanics wise but want to know is there anything we are overlooking at doing this. the 454 has a throttle bodie injection system on it and we think everything should bolt right up.

yeah itll fit...the 454 ss pickup chevy made from the factory is the same as the others, it just has a 454 instead of a 350 or 305. you might have to change things...it might not be a direct bolt in swap but it definatly will fit since chevy put them in the SS trucks...you could probably buy all the parts you need to do it from a chevy dealer.

The computers might be different but it will fit. I imagine the 454 will not run of the computer, at least not the PRM chip that runs the 305. You will probably need a big *** radiator as well. Worse case scenario is you have a carbureted 454:macho You'll be the oil industry's best friend:blah:
