I just recently bought an elka elite dual rate rear shock and was wondering if i should also buy a new rear link to go with it. I dont want to spend 350 on the elka pro dual linkages and was wondering if i should buy a GT thunder linkage or just not even bother with a new link.

Thanks,
Jason

Well it depends on what the shock was set up for, not what you want to put on.

If it is a 17" elite, then a gt link will not work.

Well what Im saying is, it was built for a specific linkage, you shouldn't be throwing on whatever you can buy for it. Find out what it is set up for. How long is it? If its the long travel you will need to buy the elka dual linkage.
