Hi I have a 400ex and i'm wanting to get new rear tires for it. I want a tire thats good for trail riding and mud. So I came up with the Kenda Bear Claws and the Interco Super Swamper TSL. Out of these tire what would you chose? Or is there some other tire that you would recommened? I was thinking about the Maxxis Razr's, but I wanted go in a little more mud then what the razr's will handle. I have a stock 400ex. I'm thinking of getting a 14 tooth front sproket, what do you think about that?

I had bearclaws on my 300ex, And let me tell you, if you trail ride the traction is great, but you will soon realize that the traction isn't worth the money you are paying for axle bearings and axle carriers. since these tires are so stiff they put so much strain on the bearings and bearing carrier. I found myself replacing axle bearings every month or so if i went riding every weekend, after awhile my carrier started to get some play in it so i just decided to buy a new quad (it was about that time anyways for me since she was lookin shabby overall).
My advice is to go with 22" razrs, or try using a general purpose tire such as dirt dog, wooley booger type tire.
I have 20" razrs on my 400ex and they work awesome. I haven't had a bit of trouble with them, I run 3 psi in them so i have a little cuson. They work well on the trails for me, tho my quad doesn't see much mud they do seem to hook up good in the little bit i have been in.

No. TSL's are quadtires. Vampires don't come in a 22" size.

There no only quad then. The first super swaper tire that came out was the Super Swaper TSL for trucks.

About the only thing close to a 20in mud tires is the new razor 2. Most start at 22ins.

yeah, look into the ITP's. They make the blackwater tire in a 20x12x9. I think those would work really well.

The 38" ground are a pretty good tire and the last forever. My choice is the 39.5" Super swamper boggers that had On my quad hauler.
