hi
im soo tired of the sound in my stock 450r exhaust.
i want to take out the spark arrestor and let the end kap be on just for the sound.
will i need to re-jet ? or can i just take it out ?

You defintely will have to rejet. If I remember correctly I had less top end and more low end with that setup. I would try and save for a slip on if I was you.

They sound pretty dumb with the baffle out.

well, i took my SA out but I replaced it with a HRC style end cap. I jetted her up one on the Main and down a spot on the needle and it ran like ****. So I went back to stock and it ran A LOT better. Checked the plug, PERFECT. Also, without any thing in the whole, its sound so dumb, worse than a honda civic with a pipe...lol

i think that the quad with the spark arrestor in it is sounding dumb but thats just me. im sick of that sound.

and im not going to buy a new pipe just for the sound. the 450r is fast enough for our mx track. i have rather spend my money on other important things like an stabilizer. thats why i wanted to take the spark arrestor out only because i wanted it to be louder.

but i did not know that i needed to re-jet.
i took the SA out and i took a little ride and everything worked. and i liked the sound =)
but if its not good for the quad and if loose top-end i will put the SA back on.
