450r oil help!!!!!!!

i just bought a 04 trx 450r! how much oil goes into it i need amounts for motor oil and tranny oil!!!!!!!!!! please help need to change it!

He may not have an owners manual since he bought it used. Just use the sight glass for the crankcase side and 20 ounces for the tranny side. On the crank case side, fill her up via the sight glass, start bike, let idle for a minute, turn off, wait for oil to settle and add if necessary. Any good JASO MA rated oil, like 10W40 on both sides will be fine, just don't get oil that has friction modifiers for the clutch side. I run BelRay Thumper 10W40 on both sides and never had any issues. You can also run the Honda GN4 10W40 on both sides and it will be fine.

800cc in the engine 650cc in the transmission. Simple answer, without a smart***** remark.

.82 qts engine oil and .58 qts for transmission

Use the sight glass on the engine side. For the tranny side, to make sure you got enough in, use the check bolt. It should drip out of the check bolt hole when it is filled.
