will honda 450 shocks fit

i am looking to upgrade my 2004 kfx 400 front shocks but don't want to part with a grand. i heard that the stock honda 450 shocks will fit the kfx. does anyone know if this is factual and if it is, what would the downside be. i have seen these sell for around 200 on ebay. thanks.

use the SEARCH feature. dont just ask something w/o researching first. there are TONZ upon TONZ of topics that talk about this...

and yes they will fit. direct bolt up. they work great. i use them...
