Counterbalancer ?

Can anyone tell me WHY and HOW this thing fails as I am in the process of rebuilding my motor and am considering some preventive maintenance. Thanks in advance.

Reason,
When you put that much weight on one side of a shaft & then rotate it at high speed, its a wonder it last as long as it does.
The big bearing is a NTN 16007 & can be replaced rather then buying a complete balancer unit from Honda.

So how do I remove the CB bearing out of the holder? Or do I replace the bearing holder too which I assume(?) comes with a new bearing also ?

You need a press to replace the large bearing on the counter balancer. Its not to hard to do, just need the right tools.
