450r rear on 400ex

will it fit i busted my rear on my 400 because,well, i'm a little to heavy. i saw where a company offers springs for the 450r shock
for a 300lb xc rider . i've heard the 450r one was no better than the 400 but will it fit? cause i can get one super cheap !what would be the downfall of this setup if any and would the gt thunder linkage do anything for me

It will fit, but its no where near right. The 450R rear is about 1" shorter in overall length than the 400ex one, the linkages are different, the valving and springing will be off.
