Yesterday I was at englishtown, and i was practicing the amateur motos, needless to say i was doing decent untill I see a 250 lb rider that seems to be on a 125sx comes flying by me. After our moto I went over and it really was a 144sx. The guy was kinda dick to me and all he could say was it was like a 125 on steroids? This guy was straight up haulin the mail.

did you hear anything about it.

nope, it was for real. it was an 07 and it clearly said 144sx on it. The engine seamed alot smaller than my 125's tho,

yes, ktm has a 144sx this year, VERY VERY rare to find.

pretty much a stroked 125 in a light package

rode one at the dealer a while back, had more kick in the low end than a 125, or for that fact a 250f, but the top was lacking, gearing maybe? i dont know, but none the less, awsomely engineered bike

Thanks for the pic, the thing absoultely hauled. I'm deeply considering buying one of these over a 250f. My aim is down, so i was just wondering. does anybody know if you can run a 144sx in the 125c stock class at lorettas. Im sure mx428 can help me here.

ps. notice the size of the engine.

i dont know, there was alot of controversy over them when they came out, they are just stroked, which is technically allowed by ama, but i think they fall under the weight limit allowed (to damn light)

id ask someone at a ktm dealer about that

Haha, that bike looks fun... whenever I ride a 125 now I just ride the piss out of it (like they are supposed to be ridden.) Then I hop back on my cr250 and fly.

Did the AMA ever decide to let them run it in the Nationals? I know when they first came out the AMA said no.

I'd LOVE to have that bike. Its exactly what I'd like. The weight of a 125, but with more torque. I know you used to be able to run a 134 in ama amature races.... Are you allowed to run a 144 now too? I've been out of the mx race scene for 7yrs now.:ermm:

all big bores for 125's are called 144's. unlike the 440 kits for 400ex's, their actually only 435's. i personally would have rounded it up the one cc to 145.

No, 5 Mile Pass in Utah. It's a very popular riding spot. It's 5 mile's to pass through so they just called it 5 mile pass.
