My friend is thinking about building a hybrid with a KTM 525 motor in a Banshee frame.

Has anyone ever done this? Is it hard to get the motor to fit in the frame?

Feel free to post some pics if any of you have done this or heard of anyone doing this.

I don't know why you would want to run a hybrid banshee. Just to be different I suppose. Everyone pretty much has the same concensus that the Banshee frames are crap and ride like crap.

No experience, just what I've heard.

There has been other people on here that have used the banshee with a 450 dirt bike motor in it. thats where he got the idea to do this so i ask for him.

the reason people buy banshees is for the motor not the frame/ suspension set up. a properly built banshee will be much faster than a 525 hybrid. if you want 525 hybrid there are much better frame choices.

this is my quad that i want to build and i am not going to race with it. I will maybe race some woods with it or just trail ride.

Banshees aren't that bad handling. They have won several enduro type races in the past and i have seen them run with the 525 KTM engine. Not a bad idea, prolly get a banshee rolling chassis very cheap, not sure about the motor though. It is prolly a good idea cuz there is plenty of room with the twin engine to stick the large 525 in....Good luck!
