gas smell in oil change?

Hey guys, I did another oil change after a long ride at a atv park and when I dropped the oil in my 400ex it smelled like gas? Is this from running rich? or blow by on rings? It doesnt smoke. and I was thinking that it was running awsome. any ideas?

Anyone have an answer for this? I hope it wont ruin my engine.

Turn your gas off when you transport it, some gas may be getting by the needle jet and washing down. No it won't cause problems if regular maintenance is done on the machine. Mine used to do that, till I started turning the gas off at the end of each ride and while it's in the truck.
