noob question

Hello,
Fairly noob to 4 strokes, so bear with my ignorance. Bought an 05 400ex for my son, and we just bought him a Yoshimura slip on with header kit. I know I have to rejet now, but (yes I found the search button) i'm confused on the pilot and main. Is their a pilot jet on an '05? I've found the main, but where is the pilot?

yes im sure there is a pilot jet...your gonna have to take the carb apart...but with the main you just have to take the bottom cap off the carb.

The float bowl needs to be removed to get to the 'pilot jet', it's actually called the 'slow jet' in the manual. It's right next to the main jet.

What most people call the fuel screw is really the pilot jet or screw. Not intending to confuse things for you:p

with the bowl off, carb upside down the main jet sticks out kinda. the pilot jet is lower, kinda in a whole right next to the main. the pilot should take a small flathead screwdriver to remover, while the main is a small hex, 6-7mm maybe (not real sure on the exact size, i usually just use pliars since it is not in real tight)
