sputtering

Today i was going for a ride on my ex then later on in the day it started to sputter in the top of fifth gear. what could be the problem?

if its at WOT at the end of the gear.. then most likely you're rich..

if it was fine at the beginning of the day.. could be a dirty filter.. clogged intake.. also make sure your choke is completely open..

that is what i would check first..
