02 400ex

Just bought an 02 400ex for my grandson. I'm pretty sure that 99-04 is compatable parts wise but wondered if anyone knows for sure what years are compatable bolt on parts. I'm gonna be looking to get this thing mx capable for the least amount of money until I know for sure he's gonna stick with it, right now, he THINKS he wants to go mxing with me.

yes 99-04 parts will bolt right up. 400ex and 450r bumpers fit it. kfx/ltz 400, 450r,400ex,300ex,250r,250x,250ex wheels and tires will fit. 250r axle will fit but you will need 250r hubs.

the 99-04 parts will interchange. you can do a search on here for what other parts will fit for a 400.
