Hi, I am thinking of buying some hipers with integrated hubs from a 400ex to put on my Trx450r. Will they fit my axle on my trx450r? Also has anyone had any experience with integrated hub hipers? If so how were they and do they strip very easily? Thanks.

The 400ex hubs should work on your 450r;) As long as you check your hub nut often to make sure it stays tight, they should be fine. They do tend to come loose alot on any wheels though.

Ok,thanks alot. Yeah, I was really looking into buying a pair but I heard that hiper doesnt make them anymore so I thought I would ask if they were good or not. Any more replies?

I have a set and they work great. I would use RVT Silicone on the splines of the axle. You can find this at Walmart or any automotive store. Also I would recomend using an impact gun to tighten the axle nut. Don't worry it will not hurt anything.

they are good wheels ,but i tried to buy new hubs and hyper is not making anymore of them, one thing to consider if one wears splines out ,id save little extra money and get the 4 bolt ones

Yeah, but cant you change the middle hub out for a regular 4 bolt mount? Dont the wheels come apart in pieces?

the 4 bolt inner hub is different and wont fit the one piece outers,i had to buy new wheels ,couldnt get my 250r ones converted to 450r centers they quit making 24 spline centers, the carbon wheel outer halfs are cast different size so splined hubs to 4 bolt wont interchange

Dang, that stinks. So if you strip it then you have to buy a new wheel. I dont know if I should get these. I just want to know how hard it would be to strip them?

If you let them get loose it won't take long at all.

i never stripped one out ,but the splined center ,i cant get a cotter key in easily ,nut is very recessed,if nut comes lose i could see splines wearing from wobble and once they are stripped you have a set of worthless wheels

I have integrated hub and regular center hypers. The integrated ones are nice, but they are a pain to change the tires on the bike with. The reason they stopped making integrated hub hypers is because they were getting stripped out, due to loose hub nuts. I have no problems with my intergrated hubs, they don't come off my bike either. The regular ones are much easier to change, that is why they are more preffered.
