My 400ex recently stopped starting in gear and i want to know what may be wrong with it, other than my clutch , what wires would be messed up? It wont even try to start in gear with the clutch pulled
it wont even turn over.

Now i have an aftermarket clutch lever, and i have a little box that has a black and green wire inside it, and when i hit the button it would try to start in gear, and when i let it go it'll start in gear, wether or not the clutch is pulled in. So whats wrong. i even tried to push the little button in and it wouldn't try to start. this happened tonight at a random time.

yea well i did that, and i don't think i'm getting the answers i need bc i already have the box out and i don't know if its something near the transmission with those wires or wether i should sodder the black and green wire together. but i don't want to tear the little box apart because i figure that it cant be the problem.

I wired the two wires on the stock clutch lever together and it worked good. But i read that once you put an aftermarket lever on you gotta start it in neutral you cant wire it together.
