Just wondering if you guys have more pics of the boxes? I was told by CFM that they would definitely have one for sale on Ebay this week, but they didn't. Might be leaning to the other guys airbox now. Plus it is alot cheaper.

here is my airbox, this is the ultimate box made by me it has a custom uni lid that breaths like it has no lid but keeps most of the dirt out. Yes it also moves the battery and wiring.

This airbox $199.95 and yes, it holds all of the electrical components inside, away from the mud and water. Battery, voltage regulator, starter solonoid and wiring. No mods are required to the stock wiring, it works with aftermarket seat latches and it accepts all types of filters. After selling our no-lid design for over a year we developed this one. It is everything our customers have asked us for in an airbox.

what would be really sweet is if you could enclose the battery and electrical. what i would end up doing is cutting the lid so that i could let more air in. but the prob with this is that even though i would have some sort of filter/screen there would still be some dirt and water that would get in the box. if you could seperate the two you wouldnt have to worry about getting junk all over the electrical stuff. i guess you could just pull the lid and wash it out with the quad standing on the grab bar and plug the intake snorkal.

another issue is the heat that the voltage regulator makes would make the air less dense and therefore you would lose even more power. you are already sucking in hot air from atop the motor and this just makes it worse.

i do not know how much heat the regulator generates but i have touched mine and it is fairly hot.

on modified machines the lid really hinders performance. i would not want to got to a completely open airbox but to something that is filtered would be nice.

just some suggestions. thansk for the input and the box does look really nice

We do make one for the Z400 and they are on ebay. The current model does not have a lid but we will be offering another version of it very soon that has a lid and uses the stock air intake system.
