Alright so im torn. Im looking to get an HMF sport exhaust and I dont know whether I should get the full pipe or just a slip on. Honestly all I want is for my 400 to sound a little beefier and get some more power. Whats the advantage of a full system vs just a slip on?

IMO, the advantage for you of a full system is looks and the ability to "grow into" the exhaust. What I mean by that is I think there is little to nothing to be gained (and perhaps something to loose!) by most full systems with a mostly stock engine. But if you plan on upgrading with headwork, a cam, and larger pistons then you'll already have a complimentry exhaust system in place.

I appreciate your input CP. After reading that post about exhaust, i'm just going to get an hmf slip on and a k & n. I dont plan on tearing into the motor any time soon. Thanks again
