Got my 07 about a month ago and boy am i glad i bought it! I had been riding a 300ex for the past 5 years, i'm 6'4" 215 lbs, so a 300 has been a little quad for a long time. But FINNALLY!! i was able to get a new 07 for $5,899! Was goin to go with a Z/KFX/DVX 400, but after hearing that price, and then test riding it, it was a no brainer! Really wanted to stick to my honda roots anyway, i threw everything i had at the 300 and all she did was run. No reverse(i ride a lot of tight woods)...but i forget about how it sucks to move it by hand as soon as i put her in one of her forward gears :D

I don't like making holes in my plastic(esspecially when its new...)so i ordered a bracket they make for the Z400 that moves your warning lights and key. After about 30 min of modification i got it to work on my 450. I think it cleaned it up real nice.

Just got my new 07 yesterday. Im thinkin the first thing im buyin for it is the 12 tooth. Just wanderin how ya like it??? I noticed right away my stock 13 tooth was way too high for trail ridin.

IF U CHANGE TO A 12 TOOTH IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE U HAVE TO DO TO THE QUAD? AND U MEAN THE FRON OR REAR SPROCKET?

Hey guys, sorry been working a lot lately and riding even more :D haven't been on the computer much. Ok for the ?'s which i'd love to answer
Miami305: I love this bumper and i've had no issue's with it riding at night and i do it a lot around here. And its the front sprocket you change...rear is like a 38 or something...36? not sure right now getting to late...And the change was simple you take the gaurd off and case saver with the same bolts. The sprocket itself is one bolt, bolt the new one on, put gaurd/case saver on, and since you lost a tooth you have to tighten up your chain quite a bit and your ready to go, takes like 10 min. 15 with a smoke break

Allstock and Unverfehrt400ex: hahaha i've had a couple people ask me that! the 07 comes stock with a 13 so i just went down one tooth for the type of riding i do which is tight trails and hills. I love the 12t, just as you said Unverfehrt400ex its a little high with the 13t and the 12t def. helps. Only thing is you will lose quite a bit of your top speed. 1 tooth made a big difference but i gladly sacrafice a little top speed(which you don't really use in tight trails/hills) for a little more hit at the bottom. And boy will she accelerate! oh and she does wheelie really easily now in gears 1-3 and 4th with a good tug :P

Sexyatvchic: ASL? lol jk The bracket your seeing isn't acctually a pro armor bracket...its a moose bracket they make for the Z400, but since everything else is pro armor i cut out the shield logo from some left over stickers and slapped it over the etched in moose logo. Heres the part http://atv.parts-unlimited.com/40/234/3016752 I got the one for the Z400 instead of the 400ex because i wanted neutral and high temp light location. I had to do a little home modifications to make it work. For one, the bracket is actually upside down to make the key fit, as it wouldn't allow it to be on the bottom as it hit the gas tank. But that worked out perfectly because had i mounted it the other way i wouldn't be able to see my lights due to the bar pad. And i want to make sure i can see that red high temp light come on if it ever does. two, is you'll have to wallow(technical term) the stock holes to get the bolts to line up perfectly. All i did was take a drill with a slightly bigger bit then the hole, and round it out till i got it to work. And there was a little work to get the key to fit using the same methods, Z400 key is completly diff. but i made the hole a little bigger and it works perfectly.

Thanks miami, love to see pics of yours when you get done with it. Went riding today, slashed a hole in my left front sidewall :/ oh well i guess you'll have that. Ordered a new one but its on 2 week backorder :( guess i'll be running stock tires for awhile. Also ordered my new seat. I hate how little foam there is in the seat so i ordered quadtech's desert seat, adds 1 1/4" foam over stock. http://www.quadtech-atv.com/pages/products/qt_trx_450r_hds.html
My behind will thank me :p

No nothing to the engine yet...wanted to get all of the protection for me/my bike first ie. skids, nerf bars, stuff like that. Motor mods will come soon. Goin with the HRC kits and a yoshimura exhaust system to start things off, and then we'll go from there.
