picked this stuff up at the dealer today.
works pretty good. if i were to do it again, i'd definitely hit it with some 1000 grit. but it turned out nice.

in progress.... was kinda scared at this point...

about three hours total. again, i'd go with the 1000 grit if i did it again, but still cheaper than buying plastics. cost me 22 bucks.

Just a word of warning. Using 1000 grit will make plastic renew last for even less time than it does when you follow directions. The stuff is no good, and not giving it deep 400-grit grooves to stick into is just asking for more trouble than using this product in the first place. Trust my voice of experience. I do it the real way now.

I did this http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o228/JimmyHoffa88/400shiny.jpg with 400 grit, 600 grit, 800 grit, 1500 grit, steel wool, then buffing wheel and polshing compound. It's almost the same price (including the price of a cheap hand drill-brand new!) and is much better. Splash some water on your plastics, let it sit for an hour, and wipe it off. Then, tell me if it looks like my picture. My method restores the actual factory finish. It's not a milky flaky streaked coating, that PC racing also decided not to make WATERPROOF!

Thanks man. Trust me, you got out a hecka lot easier than me. That shine represents about 8 hours of solid work. An afternoon project? sheesh.
