Which would be better for the woods rider looking to spend between 1000-1500? It appears the 300ex is typically a bit cheaper.

I am not a heavy guy, but I need an 'adult-sized' quad.

Thanks.

Then if you need an "adult size" quad, just get a 450. But IMO you should pick the 300ex over the warrior because you can put 400ex a-arms and shocks on it and get twice as much travel out of the shocks than the warrior.

close the warior hugs the ground cuz its heavier and makes up for it with the 50ccs and prolly about th same amount of mods available

ive had both and i like my 300ex a lot more, its lighter and handles a lot better than a warrior but its a little smaller. there are about the same amount of mods for them but it seems like mods for the 300 are usually cheaper and easier to find, plus you can put more parts from other quads with little or no modificaion on a 300, which you cant do on a warrior. the warrior has a bit more power, but i feel like the 300ex is better overall and has a lot more potential.

One last question, how much bigger is a 400ex than a Warrior?
It appears if I bump up another $500, i could buy a good used 400ex.

$2000 for a good quality Honda 400ex. :ermm:

if you could find a 400ex i would get that or if not the 300ex or the warrior would be a good choice the 300ex is a honda so it will be reliable and fast, and i know people who have had warrior and have had good luck with them and a warrior vs a 300ex i am going to have to say the warrior will win but both are good quads

I guess I didn't update this thread.
I got a 2002 400ex. It is in 95% new condition; optioned out pretty nicely, for $2000.

I have yet to really get any good quality time on it. I just got it Monday.
One thing I did discover last night is that the front wheels like to get up in the air pretty readily!
