My dad and I are going to look at a 2003 z400 today...haven't seen it yet but i kno it needs a battery and the plastic is in rough shape, it has razrs, yoshi, hotcams, for about 2500 GOOD DEAL?

as long as the frame an motor are in good worknig condition, then yes, and also it just depends on how muich work you wanna put into it..

id say thats a good deal. look for cracks above the front shocks where it mounts and the chain adjuster bolts to see if there stripped. look for play at the tie rods. take it for a ride in the street to feel for a bent axle or strange noise. also take it threw all gears to make sure they all work. i learned that one the hard way.

me and my grandpaw looked at it today, and it looked decent
it had a few rips in seat, it needs battery, it has yoshi pipe, hot cams, 13:1 compression piston or sumthing (not to smart with motors only 14) and they want 2000, u can tell it's been rode though.?

thats how mine was. $2000 is a good price though cause one you get it going and looking nice then you can sell it for around $2600. ill give you some tips on how to make your plastics look alot nicer, you can see the before and after pics below. also i got this nice gripper seat cover from e-bay for like $35 and they will make the side any color you want and the top any color.

by the way im 15 in 5 days and i do most of this work, its not hard to clean your plastics, i just dont have the time right now to type it up. maybe tomarrow?

I cant get it, my dad said that he is not chipping in any money and all I have is 1200, i was close though..what can i do to make my 400ex run with a stock z besides pipe (can't get a pipe:( )

I got my 03 Z for 2000. It was in decent shape.

My budget was $3500. So I put about $1000 into it so far.
