My friend recently purchased a new 525 outlaw and is looking for a K&N air filter for it. Is there anyplace he can look for one or is he going to have to wait or make something custom?

Why not buy 3 or 4 foams for the price of the K&N. Never had a problem with a Foam filter in 26 yrs of riding.

Just pulling the airbox lid off of the 525 will require a rejet. To meet California emissions they have to run these engines pretty lean. The stock main jet is a 142. With my lid off, pro design filter and spark arrestor pulled I am running a 170 main jet.

I run this lead with a 178 main I am a 540 now but still have not broke it in yet.

I like the uni filter vents, for the money. But how do they compare to an outerwears setup like outlaw bills?

should work ok just not as water tight as the EHS set up.

IT Outlaw,

This K&N will replace the stock one without any other mods correct? Also do you know what outwear you need for this filter?

the one from ParkerYamaha is for the Outlaw 500 will not fit the 525

DUNCAN RACING WEBSITE HAS A STAGE ONE PACKAGE THAT INCLUDES A K&N FILTER, OUTERWEAR, BILLET ADAPTOR, HEAD PIPE, AND CAN. I WOULD THINK THEY COULD SEPARATE OR SELL SEPARATE. (SORRY THEY DONT LIST PART #S) MAYBE SHOOT AN E-MAIL OR CALL.
