I finally got my raptor rear shock for my 250x. Now my question is what is inside of the shock? Is it gas and oil. The line coming off the shock that goes to the rezzie comes too close to the upper shock mount, and i want to loosen the bolt and turn it a different direction, but i dont want to loose the gas charge out of it. I am thinking that just the rezzie is gas, and the shock is oil. Any help?

DON'T LOOSEN IT! You shouldn't have to move it at all! We haven't had to move any yet!

What would happen if i did? would i loose the nitrogen charge in the rezzie? For some reason it comes extremely close to the upper shock mount.

Jeff, I figured it out and it works ok. But i think my shick feels kind of soft. Could someone have already messed with it and it needs to be recharged? Is there any way to tell if so? And How much does it cost to just get it recharged? I bought this from ebay and dont know much of its history. It looks brand new, but looks arent everything as i have had things ive me problems in the past.

Its not a bad idea to get new oil and gas charge on a used shock anyway. then you know what you have.

You could also get any valving changes etc, but with your set up be carefull since most guys who do this type of stuff are not brain surgeons.

No i left the bolt as is....just positioned the rezzie differently. Does anybody know what it does cost to get it recharged. I am gonna test it out this weekend to see how it works. It just doesnt seem stiff like i thought it would. I figured that i would need the 400ex spring since i only weigh 160 lbs, but so far it feels ok. I only rode around for a few minutes over some whoops on my home made track in my field. I think saturday im gonna launch it over my table top and see how it feels.
