Can you guys tell me how to tell each year of the 250r apart?

Like if I look at a 250r I just want to be able to know wut year it is.

I can tell 86-87's from the 88's and 89's 86-87 have bar headlights And I know 88's are red and 89's are white with red seat with hood headlights but How can I tell them all apart more specifically? Like if they got new plastics and are totally changed?

Considering most years are a mix of different years parts it's hard to tell what a complete quad is unless it's stock.

But otherwise parts you can tell the year by looking at it are the
Frame, swingarm, a-arms, plastic (if it's original), hubs - front and rear, calipers,
motors - only if original paint - but many people replace 88-89cases with 87 because they come with bearings, seat pans, Rims.

Look on the microfishe to tell, it would take a lot to list it all here.

You can tell the year by looking at the frame. Each year there was small changes in the frames.

What's the diff in 86 and 87 frames? I know the diff in 88 and 89 frames.
