I will be sending them my JUG and getting the 426 kit done to my bike. Here is the deal though.

The local Honda shop wants 189.00 to remove the jug, then reinstall the new jug and piston.

How hard is it to remove the jug? From what I can tell by looking at the engine:

1: Remove the valve cover
2: remove the head
3:Unbolt and remove the jug.

Can anyone chime in on what I am missing.

Thanks!

It is very easy to do. 189 bucks is bull****, but is expected from any shop:D All you need is basic wrenching skills and youll be set

It's been a stressful week so excuse me if this sounds incompetent, but what is a "jug?" Is that an abbreviation for something or what?

A jug is the cylinder. Also in your teardown process, you will need to remove the cam and cam chain tensioner, then either let the chain drop down in the case and have something to pull it out with, or just tie it up to the frame, but other than that its pretty simple.

its simple to take it off. like 400exrider707 said, the cam chain is probably the hardest part about it. i just got a small wire and wrapped it around my handle bars to hold it up
