Best Cleaner for Internal Engine Parts

Alright I'm back.....What is the best cleaner to use for your internal engine parts such as the tranny gears? I am rebuilding a 250R engine that was really beat up and I am noticing that there is alot of metal flake from where the case busted inside the motor...I need something to remove it all....Any suggestions?

I've heard of people using kerosene but I never have. If you have it all dissassembled you can use brake and parts cleaner.
