05 yfz450 carb prob

my carb has no accel pump. is this common what can i do to fix it? diaframe is fine, parts seen to be in order though its hard to tell buy the fiche or the pic in the manual. plz help

is there any free play in the rod?

i adjusted it to no free play now it works intermitenly. it is also leaking gas from the bottom or bowl line. is this the float bowl overflow? that would be the float needle leaking right? are these carbs junk? i see people taking them off left and right?

They are outstanding carbs. Some of the best carbs made.

would this carb run on a 400ex without the two connectors connected?

Yes. One is for the TPS which the 400EX CDI doesn't/can't use. The other is for the TORS system which the 400EX also doesn't/can't use. Niether system affects the way the carb operates.

thank you gp!!!!!!!!!! that is what i thought i checked the fiche and the wiring diagram. i bought this carb of ebay to put on my 400ex and it has been nothing but probs. guy said it was because i didnt have them hooked up. first no accel pump now leaking from overflow. he also said that was to much carb for a 400ex. i told him people put them on all the time. i just rebuilt my bone stock 02 engine with wiseco 11.1, stg 2 hc, kibb springs, 450r chain, ported head and intake. :rolleyes:
