My old timing chain was stretched and was ticking, so i replaced with a new one. This one is on tight. The quad is running real strong and the timing is perfect. The only problem is it is ticking loud now. The head looked in good condition when i was repairing it, but could this noise be my valves. If yes, what do i have to do to correct the problem? Valve adjust?

Try adjusting the valves and go from there.

and it could be nothing ....check your valves ....set then ad if u are still getting the noise it might be your motor...and it might be just a normal noise.....if u still have power and the motor is not acting funny than i'm sure it is nothing real bad

Got an aftermarket cam? If so, it's completely normal, they have a tendency to tick. If not, adjust your valves.

my valves were ticking, i changed my exhaust headpipe gaskets and it went away. im not sure why, im guessing the worn out/ re-used copper crush gaskets were making the existing ticking much louder.
