View Full Version : Motor Flooding?

I have a 2007 450r. I bought the bike new 2 months ago. Past couple of times I've rode when i stab the gas it stalls kinda like its flooding out. Anybody else had this problem? Totaly stock with arrestor removed

when you removed the arrestor did you rejet it?

The fcr carbs had a little problem with that. They were supposed to be better on the 07 models though. On the 06 models the quikshot helped a lot. You might want to go through and check all the jetting though, before you buy anything like 81 mentioned.

Ok Well I Have An 06' And I Pulled The Arrestor Out Of Mine To Drag Race It Right After I Got It Before I Started Moding It. And If I Remember Right When I Pulled Out The Arrestor I Also Removed The Air Box Lid And Ran A 178 Main Jet. I Was Running Race Fuel And I Think It Was Still A Bit Rich So If Your Running Pump Gas you Should Prolly Run A Little Smaller Main. Mine Still Had A Little Bog Off Bottom Though. To Fix That I Would Get A #55 Leak Jet And Adjust your Accelerator pump. Thats What I Got Along With A Quickshot Cover And It Rund Great.

thanks for the info. If i remember right it did the same thing with the arrestor in.
