I have an 2004 450r that i bought used. I was wondering if there is any way to find out if it has a different cam in it? Is there any way u can find out?

You would have to take it apart and look at the cam that is in it and tell if it is different than stock. Which you could tell the difference if I remember right.

without a cam docter or cam set up all you can really do is messure max lift. Which is different on most cams and will tell you if it is stock.

also, max lift should not be measured using micrometer on the lobes,... this does not determine max lift just lobe height. it is best to use a cam doctor or measure lift with the cam installed in the tower and in the cylinder head using dial indicator.

Thanks for the information. I just got a hold of the person i bought it from (Original owners) they said when they bought it from the dealer they didnt have a cam put in it, so that sloves my problem. haha
