I have a question. when you buy the high compression piston for a quad for example my yfz 450... do you just install the piston into the factory cylinder or do you have to do something else to it. also my unit is an 05. if I was to install a high compression piston even if it has the cooling fan in the front will it run hot. thanks for all the advices.

Good question I want to know the same thing. What else do I need to do if I install a High compression piston and what are the advantages of it?(HC piston)

as long as you get a HC piston that was made for the 04-05 cyclinder it will fit with out haveing to boar it out. GYTR makes a HC piston for the 04-05.
