Does anyone have any experience with FST's 390 kits for the 250x? They look like theyd be pretty quick.

my buddy has the FST 380 kit for his 300, its bore only. on the 250x you're going to have to stroke it, i think they use a 70mm crank and 86mm piston, that would give you 406. theres a member on here with one, 250x project i think is his screename. either way, yes they are very quick and powerful. gives you 400cc+ torque in a smaller package-lots of fun.

my buddys kid had it it sure runs on the mx track it would keep up with any quad out there drag racing it was beating stock 250rs and 400 ex you have to gear them right head work stroker the whole combo rocks
my uncle has the 288 kit and that thing is a huge improvment

What kind of power do they make? Are they revvers or do they like to lug?

250x with stroker i think it was low 30's for hp compared to 18-20 stock it makes it like a 400 - 450 feel its a good alll around kit there a lite bike and little motor

with the 406 stroker i used to own it was a solid running machine, only problem was trying to find the right jetting it was very picky. It will have incredible power and easily wheelie in every gear, i used to run 14, 32 and would easily pull the wheels up. This again was a fully built motor. But you will be able to pull up agaisnt 450's with that kit with a good head work and simply be able to pull away. I remember on several drags i put a hurting on a 727 raptor that head cam's headwork. Either it was he was a crappy rider which very will could be but i know the ol 250x stroker would get it and go. Be prepared to start spending the money now if you are going with a 380 there are other factors you want to consider doing if you havnt already done.
