Starter went bad on my 06 450er (has hrc kit) because of the weak unit honda send so now i have to jump start the thing

dont feel like telling the whole story right now but it involves me having to pull it back to my house with my truck and tow rope

So im very angry and Im contemplating selling it for a yfz

but if i dont ill convert it to kick start (any 06's haveing problems kick starting)

Maybe a YFZ is better for u. They dont have any electrical problems at all.

06 was the first year for the electric start so without a doubt there would be a problem with it, convert it to a kicker and be done with the headache, why down size and get a yamaha

I agree dont go blue just put in a kicker I did on my 06 and friggin love it. Eff the electric start anyway the kicker always starts fast where as my electric used to sometimes have to crank for awhile. You wont be dissappointed with the 06 kicker install.

I Agree With This Guy Dont Down Size And Get A Yamaha...On Another Note My Buddy Has A 06' ER With A HC II And Has No Starting Problems With It. It Cranks A Little Longer When Its Cold But Nothing Crazy Long. My 06' Kicker Starts Great Though So I Would Go That Route.

:D

yea they do. my friend has a yfz and the exact same thing happened to him. we had to jump start it every time he stalled in the woods. id say screw electric starts and go with kickstart. always reliable
