A buddy told me about a friend of his that had just got out of his house with his 20 month old and pregnant wife and 2 minutes later his house was swept away down the river.

Yikes...

Thanks for the help!

I live out in a place called Pine Island, filled with black dirt and sod fields. The river running threw overflowed and flooded all the fields.. Luckily, no more than 1 road was underwater.

Heres a look out into the sod fields...

The bridge... Normally, the water should be about 15-20 feet more shallow.

good Lord, what town in NJ? looks like somewhere south of Trenton, out by the River.

I live out East in Jackson (currently in FL, but NJ has always been home :D ), but we usually dont have too many flooding issues.

Best of luck with all the rain.

You guys have the most screwed up weather on the east coast!! If it's not a blizzard, it's flooding, or it's 70 degree weather in the dead of winter?!?!

I hope everyones flood insurance is current.:chinese:

That's cause all the water is in lake Zoar or the Housatonic river. :)

The pic's I took are in manville. Right next to bound brook. This always happens when we get alot of rain but not as bad as this. The last time it came up this high was when Floyd came through back in 99. My house is okay I live on higher ground. My neighrbors down the street about 4 houses down had water up to there first florr. SO right now I am really lucky. I only had about 6 inches of water in the basement due to sump pump not working. I was AC for the weekend and who would have thought the pump would crap out right then. SO I just finished pumping the water out yesterday. If you go further down the street it's crazy to see almost everything these people own is sitting out at the curb. THey got the sheriffs department driveing around back here and if you don't live back in this area you can't even come in... Hopefully this doesn't happen again...
