Carb

I was on another site comparing the 05/06 400ex to the older ones and it said that the new ones have a 38mm carb and the old ones are a 35.5. Is this correct and if so would it be worth it to buy the newer carb for my 400 for more power?

It's my understanding the carbs are the same but measured differently. I have yet to see confirmation on this though.
