Bar trouble

Okay so I did my rebuild and put on a set of new bars. The bars were really low so I went back to the stock bars. Well I went to mount the bars and the clutch cable was too short. I figured out the cable was routed wrong but even when I re-routed it it was too short and it hit the exhaust and was burning. I would like to see pics of how it is routed to make sure it is correct and any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Sorry no pics but... Did you route it though that ring that comes off the right side motor mount? Cause after that mine goes straight up to the little plastic clip on the gas tank protector plate thing and then to my bars...

Thanks for the response. I have it through that metal ring but from there I think it is mounted wrong. Thanks for the explination and I will try it and see how it goes.

Well you were right. I had it routed wrong and had to go through the white clip then to the bars. Thanks for the help, it works great now.
