Will the gt thunder mx link work on my 05 trx450r with a stock rear shock? Has anybody ran this? If so how is it? Does the rear end sit lower? Does it add travel? Thanks.

I have the mx link on my 06 stock shock but it has been revalved and sprung by them, and yes it sit's lower and increases the upward travel as well as the bucking of the swing arm in a hi speed hit situation.

Is your stock shock longer than it was stock? How does the link do? How much did you pay for it and where did you get it?

Yeah, it says it would need revalving, but could I get away with riding with it stock until I get the money to revalve it or would it just work fine stock, I dont get what they are saying on the website.

Wait 'till you have the money and then just get the revalve and the link at the same time... The link is going to feel crappy with just the stock shock.

Basically the link puts the shock at a different angle thus changing the leverage put on the shock when it compresses on a jump or hard hit from a whoop, i would think if you used just the link with no revalve or respring you would be asking for trouble. As far as the shock being longer no it is still the stock length just has a different leverage ratio from the link. Just do yourself a favor and save to do the whole thing you will be alot happier.

I would wait to get it when you have the money to revalve the shock. Otherwise it isn't going to be working properly and could possible make the ride worse. You will be able to tell a big difference with the revalving and link combined though.

The stock shock/spring with a linkage will be so soft it won't be rideable.

you will crush your pipe and will just suck to ride. it's like have plus 2 a-arms with stock shocks
