Yes Baldwin Motorsports makes a bracket to fit them on 400ex spindles. It is a popular conversion for the 250R guys to go to a 400ex spindles on there bikes. Hence the bracket.

They'd use 400EX spindles because they're Aluminum, and the old 250R's are just painted steel i believe. I have both quads, they're just aluminum and lighter on the 400ex...thats pretty much it. and if you dont want to pay more money to get the calipers of a 400ex. you could use that bracket to use 250R calipers on it.

Thinking about doing it to my R eventually...just one on a list of hundreds of mods i'd like to do.

would't the 250r calipers be better seeing as they are twin piston calipers and the ex only has one?

Oh, didnt even occur to me. Yeah you're probably right, i was just outside looking at my 250R's front set up. makes more sense.

Do you notice a diffrence between the brakes on the R and the brakes on the EX?

yeah i would think that it would be alot more braking power then the ex's setup
