hello guys i have finally saved enough money to buy my OWN honda trx 450 r and at the local dealer there are two 450's 05s for 3800 and one is black and one is red.
I am having a hard time to determine what one to get what one do you think looks the best and post some pics if you want that would help me out. let me know what you think and it will really help me out alot. But right now the red has a big lead in my deasicon right now.

Black is ALRIGHT... it's just ALOT of work to keep it looking decent.

If you keep it really clean and use alot of products on the plastic (armor all, waxes, pledge) it will look good...

Red is just less work, haha

This is my 06 with easily 100+ hours and it doesn't look too bad.

Love my black but its super hard to keep nice.

My rear fenders are super scratched up and turning white where my legs and arse rub.

When I finally ditch these plastics I'm getting Green or Orange =)

Red doesn't show as much scratches,but black looks better.U can also change plastics if they get bad.planet hondas pretty cheap for oem plastics

Look past the plastic and choose the one that appears to have less wear and tear on the rest of the bike. Mine's black and when I bought it new that's the only color they had left. I would've bought either color. Good luck and most important.... Enjoy it!

ya he is my problem guys i dont know what one to buy. There is 2 black and red ones for 3000 but have no baffle and i would get a pipe for it and its a 05 and i could get some after market parts for it.But, they both come with nerfs,ac front bumber.
But there is a race ready one that is a 04 and is 4100 and has nerfs.skid plate,pro taper handle bars, hmf full system what do you guys think is the better deal?

Ya i am thinking about goin for the red its always been my favorite but i might go to black don t know yet. Thank you guys for your postive feedback and more pictures would help to and what where can you get cheap honda plastic that is oem? what is planet honda? that a website or what? ALl my friends are perswaying me to get a red 450 but i dont know..

You could end up like me, buy one and then wish you had the other. I have red, but after reading the posts, maybe I'm better off with red. Heehee, just flip a coin if in doubt.

BLACK fades real fast especially in the sun. Reds classic honda get the red.
