not inside the cases, but the actual case itself so it doesnt have the muddy stained look? I heard straight acid works, but im not sure how to do that, and i dont want to mess up anything. i heard eagle one aluminum and mag cleaner works well, but i just want to check around to see what everyone else does. any help would be great

sometimes acid will work well, normally you have to get it in a concentrate from a big truck place (truck stop, chrome shop, truck dealer) etc, but your parts store might be able to get it or have it in stock.

mix up the concentrate, let it do the work then rinse, you might end up scrubbing the acid but overall its not too labor intensive.

i use luma bright it is the best thing out there i think all you do is dilute it 3 parts water to one part luma bright spray it on the bike and everything that is aluminum will start to foam leave it on there for about 2 minutes and if you have a pressure washer rinse it off if not then just use the jet sprayer on the garden sprayer. after the engine dries make sure you spray some wd40 on the engine. other wise it will rust. it will run you about 20.00 a gallon.
