Hey guys,

My neighbour has a 2006 TRX450R.
Problem is he has starting problems.
Bike is very hard to start, when cold and even when warm.
Looks like it's getting worse...

He already tried about anything, carb cleaning, new CDI-unit, filter cleaning, different battery, etc.

Does somebody have a hint as to where the problem could be located?

Decompression problems perhaps?

it is common with them...tell him not to use the throttle when he starts it...

now for correct styarting procedure:

pull out the choke
hit the throttle 5 times,
turn on the key
keep your hand far away from the throttle
push the magic button and she will fire right up

Thats what I was thinking because he said it was getting harder and harder to start.

Many hours on the bike? Valves ever been checked?
